Community Connections: Rhode Island Legal Services

Connect with us

Join the 2-1-1 team at United Way of Rhode Island on Thursday, March 7, for the third session of Community Connections: A Social Services Informational Series. Community Connections highlights social services programs, policy updates, and upcoming events, and provides a space for community partners to connect with one another.

This session features Rhode Island Legal Services (RILS). RILS “provides high-quality legal assistance and representation to low-income individuals and eligible client groups for the purpose of improving their economic condition and overall well-being.”

The key components of their mission are:

  • Protecting and enforcing legal rights
  • Stabilizing the family unit and communities where clients live
  • Promoting self-reliance
  • Ending domestic violence
  • Preventing homelessness
  • Affording dignity to all people
  • Reaching out to groups with added burdens on their ability to access the civil justice system

This event is free and open to the public.
