Thank you to the 165 volunteers that came out Saturday, June 1, for our 8th Annual Day of Action. Working together, we sorted, labeled, and packed 29,628 books – books that will soon be in the hands of children across Rhode Island.
We started this book drive eight years ago with our partners at Women United and Books Are Wings, but it’s been the volunteers who’ve made the biggest difference. How big of a difference? Over the past eight years, we’ve totaled 216,283 books.
Thank you for helping make Rhode Island a better place for everyone, especially the children who will have books to read over the summer.
