Advocacy

What does it mean to be an advocate? We think it means speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves, convening experts and community leaders to create solutions to complicated social issues, and raising awareness of these issues.

Our policy work is an investment that impacts our well-being as a state and that seeks a more equitable community for all Rhode Islanders.

You can help:
  • Take a look at our 2019 legislative priorities, and let us know which areas are top concerns for you.
  • Sign up for The Latest, our monthly e-newsletter, to receive updates on our work, including invitations to advocacy trainings throughout the year.
  • Explore issues that are important to the nonprofit sector (we actively monitor these).
